YUSUF YAZICI MOVES TO OLYMPIACOS FC

    We are happy to announce that Turkish football star Yusuf Yazici has signed contract with the 2023-24 "UEFA Conference League" winners Olympiacos Piraeus FC.

    Yusuf will wore jersey of Greek giant for following three years.

    In past decade one of most talented midfielders of Turkey football, 27 years old Yusuf Yazici has started his early (youth) career in home town Trabzon, in Trabzonspor SK academy.

    There he has spent three and half years, signed his first professional contract on December 2015.

    Played for their senior team till the summer 2019, and played great, with following stats (total): 100 caps, 21 assists and 22 goals scored.

    On August 2019 as one of biggest outgoing transfers in Turkish "Super Lig" history (17,500,000 euro + various bonuses) he has signed long-term deal with ambitious "Ligue 1" club LOSC Lille.

    Following three seasons were likely the best part of his career, won with French team league title (2020-21), and also their national cup (2021-22).

    On 2020-21 he was proclaimed as top goal scorer of "UEFA Europa League" (07 goals).

    Spring half-season 2021-22 Yusuf has spent on loan in Russian CSKA Moscow (12 games, 02 assists, 08 goals).

    2022-23 and again loan deal, this time he has returned back home Trabzonspor, made there 20 appearances, 01 goal assistance and 05 scored.

    Previous season he has played for Lille, with nice numbers (total) : 40 caps, 04 assists and 12 goals.

    Yusuf is a current Turkey "A" team member, with 45 appearances and 03 goals score. On recent "UEFA EURO 2025" tournament he has made 02 caps in group stage, vs Georgia (3:1 victory) and Portugal (0:3 defeat).

    Also he has 06 games played (01 goal) for youth U19 and U21 teams of his country.

    By "Transfermarkt" player current market value is estimated on 10,000,000 euros.

    Behind Olympiacos is most successful season in club history, in addition to the "Conference League" they have won also in "UEFA Youth League" with their U19 selection. In big final they have beat in nice stile Italian AC Milan with high 3:0.

    They did not manage to won "Super League" title also, so one of their main objectives in this 2024-25 is to return back that trophy.

    Olympiacos is club with most trophies in Greece, 47 times state champion, 28 times won in national cup and also they have 04 Greek super cup`s.
