New challenges for young goalkeeper

Young and talented goalkeeper Furkan Akyuz has extended his contract with Fenerbahce SK and also agreed to play following season as loaned player in Turkish "1.Lig" squad Fatih Karagumruk.

Contract with Fener is signed till the summer 2026, loan deal with Karagumruk is signed on one year.

Born on 21 September 2005 in city of Bursa (full name: Furkan Onur Akyuz), 191 cm tall, product of TSE Arabayatagi Spor (2016-2020) and Fenerbahce SK (2020-2023) football academies.

In previous three seasons in shirt of Fener U19 youth team he has made in total 35 caps, with 33 goals conceded and 16 clean sheets.

Also he has 01 cap in 2022-23 "Super Lig Reserves League" (02 goals conceded).

On summer 2022 he has signed his first professional contract with Fenerbahce, and was promoted to their team first as third goalkeeper.

Furkan was the captain of the team in the controversial 2023 "Super Cup" match (April 2024) vs Galatasaray SK, game which was played just one minute.

Recorded his first league minutes for seniors on May 2024 (home game vs Istanbulspor, 6:0 victory). 

Karagumruk did not start well season in the league (04 rounds played, 03 points won), currently they occupy 17th place on the table.
