YOUNG FOTIS SIGNS PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT WITH OFI

OFI Crete is old-new address for young Greek midfielder

Young and talented Fotis Koutsoupias has signed professional contract with Greek "Super League" club OFI Crete FC. 

Contract will be on three years, till the summer 2027.

Fotis has spent spring 2023-24 in OFI U19 youth team, as loaned played from Italian SPAL FC. In OFI shirt on this spring half-season he has made 07 caps with 01 goal assists (427 minutes spent on pitch).

In season 2022-23 in SPAL U17 and U18 selection`s he has achieved 21 appearances.

Before Italian team, played also for OFI youth academy, in 2021-22 made 04 caps for their U19 selection.

Born on 2006 (turned 18 years in this July), attacking midfielder, right footed, with great potential and physical performances. 

Fotis comes from a notable football family, his father Georgios, has retired from active football playing career in 2007, in his career he has wore jerseys of OFI Crete, Anagennisi Ierapetras, Prooeftiki, GS Kallithea, Aris Saloniki, Sturm Graz and Panetolikos.

His brother, 23 years old central midfielder Ilias Koutsoupias, is current member of Italian Benevento. Previous season he has spent on loan in Serie "B" SSC Bari (14 caps, 01 assists, 02 goals, 973 minutes). Before Benevento he was a member of OFI Crete, Platanias, Entella, Bologna, Ternana and Virtus Entella. Also Ilias has achieved in total 08 caps for Greek youth teams U18, U19 and U21.

OFI Crete has finished 2023-24 season on 10th league table place. First game in "Protathlima Stoiximan Super League" is scheduled for 17 August 2024 vs AEK Athens away.
