    Saudi Pro League team Al-Fayha FC has a new head coach, it is 49 years old Greek expert Christos Kontis.

    He is coming from Greek giant Panathinaikos FC, where in 2023-24 season has won a National Cup trophy.

    Contract between Al-Fayha and Christos is signed on one year.

    Before Panathinaikos he has worked on various positions in Volos NPS (Greece), Hatta Club (UAE), Olympiacos Piraeus (Greece), Al- Nasr SC (UAE) and APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus).

    In his playing career Christos has wore a jerseys of AO Kifisias (Greece), Ethnikos Piraeus (Greece), Panionios (Greece), Olympiacos Piraeus (Greece), AEK Athens (Greece) and APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus).

    With Olympiacos has two trophies in his portfolio, Greek champions title (2000-01 and 2001-02) and with APOEL two champions trophies on Cyprus, (seasons 2008-09 and 2020-11).

    Al-Fayha FC has finished previous season in Saudi Arabia on 9th league table positions (44 points from 34 games played).

    Club is founded in 1953 year and their biggest success was in 2021-22 when they have won a Saudi "King Cup" trophy (National Cup competition).
