Contract between Josef and Besiktas JK is signed on two years

Josef de Souza Dias, commonly known as Josef, returns back to Turkey football, to Istanbul, this time to black and white part of city, Besiktas.

Contract between Josef and Besiktas JK is signed on two years (optional 1+1), till summer 2022.

Josef has leaved a deep mark in Turkey Super Lig, played with big success from 2015 to 2018 for Fenerbahce SK (total: 136 games, 16 assists, 06 goals). Then on summer 2018, as one of biggest stars of summer transfer window has moved to ambitious Saudi Arabia Professional league team Al-Ahli Jeddah.

In shirt of Al-Ahli Jeddah, in previous two seasons, in total he has achieved 41 caps, 06 assists with 01 goal scored.

Born 31 years ago in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Josef is product of Vasco da Gama football academy.

Among the above mentioned Fenerbahce and Al-Ahli, in his ritch senior career, he has also played for: Vasco da Gama, FC Porto, Sao Paolo FC and Gremio.

With Vasco da Gama he has won in Brazililan Serie B (2008-09).

With FC Porto Josef has five trophies, Portuguese champion (seasons 2010-11 and 2011-12), National Cup (2011), Super Cup (2012). Biggest success in his career is for sure UEFA Europe League title (season 2010-11).

For Brazilian "A" team, famous "Selecao", Josef has debuted on 14th October 2014 on a friendly game vs Japan (4:0). In total for his National "A" team he has made 03 caps. For Brazil U20 youth squad , Josef has achieved 05 caps.

At this moment, by "Transfermarkt", his market value is estimated on 7,800,000.00 euros.
