PORTUGUESE TOMANE SIGNS WITH SAMSUNSPOR

    In previous season FC Red Star Belgrade striker, Antonio Manuel Fernandes Mendes, or simpler Tomane, moves to Samsunspor as one of biggest summer transfer window acquisitions in the Turkey 1.Lig.

    Contract is signed on four years, optional three plus one.

    Tomane is born 27 years ago in Fafe, Portugal. Comes from Vitoria Guimaraes football academy.

    In his senior career he has played in: Vitoria Guimaraes, MSV Duisburg, Panetolikos, FC Arouca, CD Tondela and FC Red Star.

    Excellent performances in FC Tondela shirt (2018-19: 36 caps, 06 assists, 14 goals), have recommended him to former European champion FC Red Star Belgrade.

    With them, in seasons 2019-20 and just started 2020-21, Tomane has achieved in total: 32 games, 05 assists and 08 goals scored.

    For sure his most important moment in shirt of Belgrade team is recent winning goal in away victory vs KF Tirana, Albania (UEFA CL Qualifications, 2nd round, 0:1).

    With Red star Tomane has also won in Serbian "Super Liga" and become state champion in 2019-20 season.

    For Portugal youth teams U18, U19 and U21 he has in total 13 caps with 02 goals scored.

    At this September 2020, player market value (by "Transfermarkt"), is estimated on 1,200,000 euro.

    Samsunspor is entering in new season with a loot of ambitions, they have started 2020-21 season with away draw vs Altay SK 0:0, next game they have at home vs Umraniyespor (21.09.2020).
