MARKO ILIC GETS CALL FOR SERBIA "A" TEAM

Marko Ilic gets invitation from national coach to debut for Serbia "A" team

After great performances in season 2020-21, 23 years old goalkeeper Marko Ilic gets invitation from national team coach Dragan Stojkovic to debut for Serbia "A" team.

Serbia squad will play two friendly matches in Japan, first vs Jamaica (07.06) and second within "Kirin Challenge Cup 2021" vs national team of Japan (11.06).

Just finished season Marko has performed on high level, started it in Serbian "Super Liga" club FC Vozdovac, then on September 2020 moved to Belgium "Jupiler Pro League" KV Kortrijk.

Since November 2020 he is standard in first 11 team of Belgium club. On the several league matches he was proclaimed as the best player of the game, by KV Kortrijk fans he was voted as best team player for the month December. 

In total, Marko statistic for season 2020-21 looks: FC Vozdovac (05 caps, 07 conceded goals, 01 clean sheet, 450 minutes on pitch), KV Kortrijk (22 caps, 38 conceded goals, 05 clean sheet, 1980 minutes). Also till fall 2020 he was a first choice in shirt of Serbia U21 youth team, in this season games for national youth team he was on the pitch on two games (02 caps, 04 goals conceded, 180 minutes). In total for Serbia U21 he has made a 10 caps.
