Celtic and Greek football legend joins 1.Lig Samsunspor

We are proud that our Company team has managed to move legend of Glasgow Celtic and of Greek football Georgios Samaras to TFF 1.Lig Samsunspor. This transfer is characterized in public with a full right as a summer transfer bomb in 1.Lig Turkey.
With latest reinforcement in character of Samaras name, Samsun shows high ambitions for following season.
Contract is signed till June 2019, optional one plus one year.
Last half-season Samaras played in rows of Spanish Real Zaragoza with modest 07 caps.
Thru his amazing career Georgios Samaras played also in rows of many notable Clubs: Glasgow Celtic, Manchester City, Heerenveen, Rayo OKC, West Bromwich Albion Al-Hilal Riyadh and OFI Crete.
Longest he was a member of Scottish power house Glasgow Celtic FC, from January 2008 till June 2014, with total (all competitions) 245 caps, 50 assists and 71 goals.
With Celtic Georgios has seven trophies, four times he won in Scottish Premiership (2007/2008, 2011/2012, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014), two times in FA Cup (2010/2011 and 2012/2013) and once in League Cup (2008/2009). Considered as living Club legend.
Also with Saudi Arabian Al-Hilal he has one trophy, Kings Cup (2015).
National A team career, for Greece Samaras has 81 caps with 09 goals. He represented his country at Euro 2008, the 2010 World Cup and the 2014 World Cup.
For Greece U 21 youth team achieved 05 caps. On list of most caped players in Greek football history, Samaras is on high 10th place.
